What is the Rural and Northern Immigration Pilot?

A community driven immigration program designed to address labour market gaps in smaller cities and towns throughout Canada. Employers in participating communities can post job opportunities for foreign immigrants on local job boards or their community website. After securing a job through the Rural & Northern Immigration Pilot (RNIP), the community in which you are working will motivate your request for permanent residency in Canada.

You will need to meet both the IRCC eligibility requirements as well as the community specific eligibility requirements, find a job in one of the participating communities, request a recommendation from the community in which you want to live and work and then once the community has recommended you, you can start the process
